JOIN US FOR THE 12TH ANNUAL RVA KRAMPUSNACHT!

Our annual walk through Carytown begins with a meet-up at 5:30pm at the Aquarian Bookshop (12 S. Thompson St.) to organize ourselves and have a COSTUME CONTEST before we begin.
Grab a pair of horns or something extra for your costume from our guest vendor, Catleesi's Creations. Or get a yummy treat from the food truck: Maria's Apple Cider Donuts
 
Bring new and unwrapped toys to donate to our TOYS FOR TOTS charity drive! 
 
After the walk this year, head over to the Byrd Theater and grab a ticket to the Krampus movie showing at 8pm! Costumes welcome.

Saturday, Dec. 3rd 2022 assembling at 5:30pm at Citizen Burger Bar in Carytown. Join us in your horns and furs! Bring your bells, drums, or pots and pans, and we will tromp down the street, stopping at our halfway-point at Aquarian Bookshop for the costume contest and then heading back up to Citizen Burger for dinner and drinks.
Our Scares That Care toy drive box will be available for dropping off unwrapped toys.
 
Krampus Night at FalloutRVA-

Escaping Krampus Game-
Nov.-Early Jan. 2022 at Red Vein Escape. Help! The horned beast known as Krampus has captured Santa Claus and taken over his workshop! Santa’s most trusted Elves from the North Pole have called for a rescue team in hopes of saving their jolly ol’ boss from this devious Yuletide Monster. Do you have what it takes to free St Nick before his dark counterpart gains control forever? Gather your team and join up with the loyal elves, before it’s too late. The countdown is on to save Christmas by escaping Krampus! This game is a 60 minute escape game recommended for 4-8 players. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at Red Vein Escape.

Sunday, Dec. 18th 2022 12-6pm at SinnerG Tattoo (315 E. Broad St.). Join SinnerG for their first Krampus/Yule Flash day! Salem Black will be offering 15% off piercing fees, 15% off titanium jewelry choice & 10% off gold jewelry choice. They will be hosting vendors and local artists inside and out and invite you to browse around the lobby at all of the new Holiday merchandise for last minute gifts! Join us for a Krampus-themed art show, live music, a variety show, and get your picture taken with Krampus at the photo booth by our friends at Red Vein Army. Saturday, December 7th: Holidaze Market at Gallery5 from 12pm-4pm. We're turning the downstairs of the gallery into a market for all your spooky holiday shopping needs. Come see local vendors and get your shopping done before the walk!

Saturday, December 7th: Krampuslauf! Our annual parade through Carytown begins at Citizen Burger Bar. Join us in costume and bring your noise-makers! We assemble at 5:30pm and the walk begins at 6pm with an afterparty at Citizen Burger.

Friday AND Saturday nights December 13th and 14th: Red Vein Haunted Christmas This is the second year that Red Vein is turning their haunted attraction at the Hanover Vegetable farm into a haunted Krampus Christmas wonderland, and this time they're offering TWO nights of scares! Krampus Kindernacht: 5th Annual Toy Drive
In partnership with Red Vein Army, we're taking toy donations for Scares That Care! and the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU. Our Krampus-themed toy box will be at a few different locations listed below. Please make sure toys are NEW and UNWRAPPED. In addition, this season we'll also be collecting new clothes to help teens at the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU Virginia Treatment Center for Children.

For the month of December we are taking over Gallery5 and covering the walls with as much Krampus (and friends) interpretations as we can. Paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures, masks and puppets will fill the upstairs gallery at 200 W Marshall Street in Richmond in honor of the return of Krampus! And this year we will even have projections outside the building AND a locally made Krampus movie being projected inside the gallery.

Red Vein Army presents the Krampus Kinder Nacht Toy Drive to benefit Scares That Care!
"Scares That Care!" Inc., is an IRS approved, 501(c)(3) charity. Founded in 2006, "Scares That Care!" to date has raised and donated over $120,000 to organizations that treat sick children and families in need.

2016 Events

November 22nd - December 10th: Krampus Kinder Nacht Toy Drive

Red Vein Army will once again be having a toy drive called "Krampus Kinder Nacht" that will benefit Scares That Care (http://scaresthatcare.org/), which is a 501(c) charity organization that is dedicated to uniting horror fans to help sick children and women fighting breast cancer. The drop off location for unwrapped toys will be located at Strangeways Brewing.
On December 2nd there will also be a drop off point at Gallery 5 for the 1st Friday art show, and again at Citizen Burger on December 3rd for the walk itself. Strangeways will continue to collect toys until December 10th. For more info visit their facebook event page.

Our friends at World of Mirth toy shop in Carytown are now offering a 20% discount on any regularly priced toys purchased for the drive!



Saturday, December 3rd: RVA Horror Movie Book Club

Everyone is talking about it...There is a Krampus movie this year! Join RVA Horror Book Club as they discuss the new book that inspired the film, "Krampus: Shadow of Saint Nicholas" by Michael Dougherty. Afterwards we all head over to the Bowtie Cinema at 7pm to see the new Krampus movie.

Tuesday, November 25th: Dr. Sketchy's Krampus Style

If you don't know about Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School, you are out of the loop, my friend! Richmond's chapter of the country-wide life drawing art school provides artists with alternatives to your normal models. Entrance is only $7 a person ($5 with a valid student ID) for three hours of drawing, contests, and door prizes. This session will feature Krampus!
